概要

Pole#1 of Hokkaido-Honshu HVDC link in Japan is now under refurbishment. The old analogue type control system will be replaced by a state-of-the-art digital type system. The interesting here is that the control systems were ordered to two manufacturers. Each is in charge of one converter station on each side, Hokkaido side and Honshu side. Since each manufacturer could only test and verify their own product, it is very important to check if the new control systems operate properly combined together. Then, closed-loop tests of HVDC control systems using real-time digital simulator (RTDS) had been carried out, and is introduced in this paper.
